Inception, Alice in Wanderland and Identity

Within past one week, I saw three movies.
Inception 2010
Identity 2003
Alice in Wonderland 2010
Exciting, thrilling, breath-taking, inspiring… It was not my intention to see them all in one week. Some I went to the cinema, others I just watched at home. They seemed to line up for me by coincidence. And what a coincidence! It’s so great to watch them together – sort of, to reinforce the power I have within me.
This is my life. This is my dream. So what do I have to be afraid of? The biggest enemy, or difficulty for that matter, is only enemy derived from my own mind, my own imagination and creation. If I can create it negatively, I shall know that I can also create it positively; or, to my higest good, leisurely.
Now take a breath. And take it easy. Life is a dream. We are IN this dream so we may have forgotten our head on the pillow somewhere in another dimension, while we are here fight and flight, suffer and satisfy. When we think we die, we may just wake up from another dream, in a dream. “Sometimes it feels so real that I forget it’s just a dream.” Alice said, and I laughed, dryly.
I have no idea what really created the voice in the head. That voice belongs to the fictional personality that came together with this physical birth of the body. It’s a dream character, and there is no way I can shut it off.
The only choice I have is choose not to listen. No need to fight. The criminal in “Identity” fought with his split personalities in vain. Let it speak, let it yell, let it make me afraid, but choose my choices anyways.
A beautiful poem to share
I dreamt I was sleeping
of times that were
I dreamt I was sleeping
through laughter and tear
I dreamt I was sleeping
of all I could be
I dreamt I was sleeping
across the great See
Wake up, wake up
I heard from within
Wake up, wake up
so life can begin
Wake up, wake up
to sleep is a lie
Wake up, wake up
for the God it is I
